Betty Liu is a member of Company A at HappyFeet and has been dancing there for over 11 years, beginning at the age of five. She is a rising senior at The Hockaday School in Dallas, Texas, where she is part of the school’s highest-level dance program.
Through years of dedicated training, Betty has developed not only strong technical skills but also a passion for dance as a form of expression and connection. She believes that dance has the power to bring joy, inspire others, and build community and strives to use her artistry to uplift those around her.
In addition to her commitment to dance, Betty is involved in community service. She previously served as President of the NiHao Food Bank Initiative, an Asian American organization focused on fighting food insecurity.
Through her leadership experience in nonprofit work, she hopes to expand and strengthen HappyFeet’s community outreach program, using dance as a way to make a meaningful impact.
